To properly measure u-bolt size imagine the pipe or tube the u-bolt is going around; ie: 3 inch axle or 2-1/2 inch square tube. THAT IS YOUR INSIDE MEASUREMENT!!
The length of the u-bolt is measured from the top of the bend to the bottom of the leg. THAT IS YOUR LENGTH!!
